Support Worker/Carer- St George, Bristol
£8.39 per hour
Job Ref: SC117
Flexible full and part time hours available - up to 37.5 hours per week.
“It takes a special kind of person to be a carer. A good carer is someone who truly cares about others and is not just earning a living. This is a special job, and it needs special people to do it”
Are you this special person? We’re looking for Carers / Support Workers to join our team.
At Elysian Villas in St George we offer person-centred care to 12 people with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that challenge. We have opportunities for full and part-time carers so if you want to join a supportive, friendly and close-knit team, committed to high-quality care and support, we’d love to hear from you.
As with any care role, you’ll need to be a good communicator, team player, compassionate and flexible. Some experience in caring for people with learning disabilities would be useful. Experience of Dementia care would be particularly desirable. But maybe you’ve been caring for people close to you and would like to use your skills to develop a career? If you share our values and compassion we’re happy to invest in you and provide full training and support.
In return for your commitment, and as well as competitive pay, we offer:
· 22 (rising to 26) days annual leave each year
· Free membership of our Health Cash Plan
· Full training including Diploma opportunities
· Career progression opportunities
· Cycle to work and Childcare vouchers
· Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
· Occupational sick pay
· Company pension
If you think this role could be for you, call our home manager Janet Paginton on 0117 9619977 to find out more and arrange a visit.
