Personal Assistant Downend, South Glos (SL)

14 – 37.5 hours per week posts available

A fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand new Supported Living scheme for six young adults with learning disabilities in Downend, South Gloucestershire

The scheme offers short term accommodation whilst individuals are supported to increase their independent living skills and access ongoing suitable long term accommodation.
You will be supporting young adults (18-24) with a learning disability, in their own home to develop life skills, confidence and meaningful lives in their community. Working alongside other agencies, you will assist individuals with daily living skills, housing related matters, to find social opportunities and- where required- with medication and personal care.

A number of options are currently available, including daytime, evening, weekend and night work to suit.

We are seeking confident individuals who are able to use creative approaches to meet needs and who are keen to support people in their move towards greater independence.
You will need to be able to offer some flexibility to meet service needs, be computer literate and a confident communicator. Experience in Supported Living or Supported housing settings would be advantageous but is not compulsory.
